³³ Peter said to him, “Even if all the others will be scandalized because of you, I will never be.” ³⁴ Jesus replied, “Amen, I say to you, this very night, before the cock crows, you will deny me three times.”^{[a] 35} Peter said to him, “Even if I have to die with you, I will not deny you.” And all the other disciples said the same thing.
